With Dr.Hauschka’s Lavender Moor Bath Essence

I love to bathe. I love the ritual of preparing the bath, adding the magnesium salts and oils (and of course the vitamin C tab!) and then literally soaking up the benefits of it all. There’s something to be said for taking time to create space for oneself, to nurture oneself – regardless of time of year but most certainly in the dead of winter.

The way I see it, a bath is a simple, affordable and beautiful form of self-care.
That being said, the extra ‘beautiful’ touches usually come from what I put into the water (and in essence, what I absorb into my skin). Like I mentioned above, my favourites include magnesium salts (great for pains and uplifting the winter blues), vitamin C tablets (designed to neutralize chlorine & chloramines) and oils—with the Dr.Hauschka Bath Oils being top of my shopping list.

Dr Hauschka has recently taken away some of my very favourite bath oils but they have done a very lovely job of replacing them with new, equally luxurious ones. The first one I tried of the new line was the Lavender Moor bath oil. I was a little unsure of what to expect as I have no idea what Moor smells like but I am a huge fan of lavender. I find that both my children and I respond really well to lavender but I did not expect the impact this oil had on me.

The bath itself was nothing out of the ordinary but the aftermath was unlike anything I have ever experienced. Getting out of the bath, I anointed myself in oils as per usual and was very relaxed. I sat on the couch with my kids and could have passed out right there and then. I felt so calm and tranquil. I can only hope that every bath where I use the Lavender Moor oil ends the same way – cuddled on the couch with my two favourite little people blissfully close to sleep.

If you are someone, or know someone, who responds well to lavender I would highly recommend this new bath oil. Perfect for calming kids at the end of a long and hectic day, or for yourself during a stressful time. Light a candle for yourself, pour the bath, add the oils and m

agnesium and fall in love with this new gem, and let me know what your experience with it is (please post your comments below)!

FYI–Did you know Moor also goes by name Therapeutic Peat Moss?
It a product of the natural decomposition of ancient plant vegetation making it rich in humic & fulvic acids, minerals and vitamins and is known for it’s ability to heal, nourish and detoxify.
