Essential Oils for Stress & Anxiety

During the Holiday Season, stresses increase and anxiety is usually at an all-time high… We have combined four essential oils profiles that work together to help ease stress and anxiety, as well give your immune system a boost and help fight insomnia/sleeping difficulties.

  1. Sweet Marjoram (Origanum majorana)
  2. True lavender (Lavandula officinalis)
  3. Mandarin (Citrus reticulate)
  4. Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanoiodes)
Sweet Marjoram Essential Oil

Sweet Marjoram

Has the following properties:

  • Balancing and Calming: aids with anxiety, stress, and is helpful for those with restless sleep
  • Antifungal and Antiseptic: aids in healing wounds and fungal skin infections
  • Bactericide: eases respiratory distress and respiratory infections
  • Analgesic and Antispasmodic: helpful with muscle aches and stiffness, especially with rheumatoid arthritis
  • Emmenagogue: helpful in regulating menstrual cycles, and soothing painful periods

* Note: avoid if you are in your 1st trimester of pregnancy, or if you have low blood sugar.

True Lavender

Has the following properties:

  • Sedative and Calming: aids in relaxation and restful sleep
  • Anti-inflammatory, Antiseptic and Antifungal: helps with acne, infectious skin disease, wounds, scars and muscle pain
  • Decongestant: aids with cough, colds, and flu

* Note: avoid True Lavender if you are in your 1st trimester of pregnancy.

Red Mandarin Essential Oil

Red Mandarin

Has the following properties:

  • Tonic: used as an immune stimulant
  • Antispasmodic: useful with muscle cramps and spasms
  • Cell Regenerating: aids with stretch marks and scars, and is extremely moisturizing to dry skin
  • Antiseptic: aids in detoxification, lymphatic circulation, and drainage
  • Calming: helps calm digestive complaints

* Has a very similar profile to Tangerine, so can be substituted for this.

Vetiver

Has the following properties:

  • Calming: aids in restful sleep
  • Immune Stimulating: stimulates and aids with depressed immune systems
  • Antiseptic: helpful with acne, cuts, wounds, infected and inflamed skin
  • Stimulating: stimulates circulation and blood flow, and is helpful with PMS and post-partum depression
Vetiver Essential Oil

The simplest and safest way to use essential oils is by diffusing the oils using a cold diffusion ultrasonic diffuser. We love diffusing essential oils in the office, at home, or in the bedroom, to take advantage of the therapeutic effects of essential oils.

  1. Is anxiety curable? I’ve been getting treatment for years and I still get bad symtoms sometimes.
    I would appreciate any insight you can provide.

    Hi there,

    Sorry to hear you are still experiencing negative symptoms of anxiety. People experience anxiety for many reasons, and we, therefore, cannot answer this question. Perhaps look into other ways of relieving anxiety, along with the treatments you mentioned you are getting.
