Instructions
- In a double boiler (or a metal measuring cup with a spout for easy pouring - that is placed in a pot of hot water filled halfway or less), add the candelilla wax, coconut oil, and avocado oil.
- Heat on low until oil mixture is completely melted.
- Remove from heat, and add the peppermint essential oil.
- While warm, wipe any water off the bottom of the pot. Taking care not to allow ANY water to trip into the oil mixture, pour into the metal tins and leave to set for a few hours to overnight. Label, if you wish.
Recipe Notes
If the mixture sets too fast, reheat in your double boiler or measuring cup before pouring into the tins.
To make the lip balm softer, reduce the candelilla wax from 2 tbsp to 1.5 tbsp.
